A few days ago, a person was recharging his cell phone at home.Just at that time a call came and he answered it with the instrument still connected to the outlet. After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud. His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers. He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet!

That is really a shocking fact .. one that I did not know before so thank you for the tip

  2. Roba Says:

That doesn’t make sense. Everyone I know has been using a charging phone for years and years.. including myself.
I also did some googling, and I found nothing on the matter.

Sara7a… I don’t know if this story is true or not.. But even if it was true, His mobile might be old or damaged. Or maybe the charger wire is exposed in area near the phone anyway its not wrong to be careful.. we Allah yer7amo la hal shab..

    for god sake!!
how do you believe such stories?? If this story is real, then all of the world must have heard about it.. all the world (if not his parents) must have sued the manufacturer of that (burnt) mobile phone..

it does not make any sense at all how electricity BURNT that guy….

i find this post funny… totally funny!!!

Well give it the benifit of the doubt…this might be a true strue, but it’s very isolated.

It’s not a common thing, I mean if this was the case you would have heard thousand of people who got killed by their cells!I mean such things would have been on the news
It might have happened once or more…it’s just bad manufacturing,

  7. Osamah Says:

Lithium-ion batteries used in cell phones are very sensitive to overcharging. They literarily EXPLODE if they are overcharged or charged at the wrong voltage/current rate.

Therefore, a very precise charging circuit is built into the phone (or often into battery, thats why they are expensive). NEVER use a cheapo after market battery with your phone and NEVER NEVER use a mismatched battery with a phone. If you do, dont get near it while charging!

Previous anonymous was right. All I had to do was a Google search on the phrase “answer a cell phone while it is being charged” and I got nearly 19million hits, the FIRST one of which was tha previously mentioned URL.

You should NEVER, ever, forward anything without checking first that it is not an Urban Legend or a hoax.

  11. ACGNJ Blog Says:

I have to agree with the previous two Anonymous’s. One person hears about an incident - without all of the details and then sets off an alarm that gets passed and added to until you can’t find the origianl message. Yes you should be careful with any electrical device, but there has been no mass electrocution of cell users. This warning was not needed. Let common sense prevail.

I just got the same email from my mom and I thought it seemed a little suspisious…

    So I looked it up

  13. Pinky Says:

Sad to see people taking any urban legend seriously. The news and response prove that most people just belive anything thats printed, or in this case appearing on a web page. Please guys, atleast make a google search before you reach a conclusion. This medium has been totally miused, sometimes for fun and sometimes for delibrately misleading the ingorant.
